Background
“Subsystem Express” was the first piece in the “RETRO redact” series, a collection of surreal ink and acrylic works created between 2011-2014.
Elements of this piece were used as graphics for various skateboard designs, first in a limited run of (now defunct) Vaulth skateboards in 2011, and later by the Dutch surf/skate/streetwear brand Badhuis in 2022.
